A classically-trained soprano, Marie McCabe is a highly accomplished professional singer with extensive experience of singing at weddings, funerals, concerts and corporate functions. With a growing reputation for the clarity of her voice and lovely phrasing, Marie can also provide advice on planning music for any event. Trained at the Bel Canto School of Singing in Dublin under the tutelage of Frank Merriman, she has performed at large liturgical occasions and charity fund-raising events (e.g. Tsunami Appeal, Irish Heart Foundation), and is engaged in voluntary work for St.Francis Hospice in Raheny. While based primarily in Dublin City and County, Marie can travel further afield to perform, as required. Elsewhere in Ireland, she has performed in front of audiences in excess of 1,000 people at large liturgical ceremonies at, for example, the Basilica in Knock. Marie launched her first CD, ‘The Love Inside’ - a compilation of spiritual favourites - in 2004 which was followed the next year by her second CD - ‘The Sunshine of Your Smile’ – a collection of more modern, contemporary songs in aid of The Children’s Sunshine Home Hospice Project.
